I did not burn the garlic bread.

One of the amazing skills that mothers develop is the ability to multi-task. It's growth compounds with each child's birth. Every once in a while (or every school night around 5ish), the task combination is so bizarre it must be documented. So without further ado, last nights winning multi-tasking moment:

Cleaning up vomit, keeping vomiter from stepping in vomit, comforting vomiter, assessing damage to vomiter's clothing, explaining long division, instructing 10 year old to remove baby from immediate area, cooking fettucine to al dente perfection, monitoring the garlic bread, quizzing a young lady on spelling words, pressing A on the Wii remote, and, of course, answering the phone. I am sure I had to wipe somethin, but I can't remember who or what. Followed immediately by washing rags, mopping floor, draining pasta, and preparing salad (O.K. so that involved opening the Fresh Express bag. But it DID require two hands).
