Chick Flick Night

The men went to a baseball game tonight. I introduced the girls to one of my best friends, Anne of Green Gables/ Movie Version. The story was a little complex and I paused the movie numerous time to help explain concepts like orphanages, drunkeness, and ipecac. I also took time to prepare them that Mom will be bawling like a baby when Matthew dies. They were nervous about Matthews impending death. When the time came for dear Matthew to pass, I told the girls, "This is it." Blondie asked, "Is the cow going to eat him?" Hawaian Tropic commemted, "Maybe the cow is going to stick his horn in Matthew." ("NO, dear, they are dairy cows.") During Matthews funeral Hawaian Tropic asked, "Who is going to buy Anne the pretty dresses?"
