Supermom (maybe) Tooth Fairy (NO)

I am begining to wonder why I even told the kids there is a tooth fairy. Twelve teeth have been lost and I am not sure but the fairy (yep it's me) has failed to visit on the first night ... well more times than I care to admit. I am really good at excuses. Last night's was especially good. "Since you were in our bed all night, she got confused." Excuse and gentle reminder all in one.

So tonight as big siss is climbing into bed, she finds a pile (and I mean pile) of change under her pillow. I was pretty sure I didn't put it there. Big siss was SO excited, she ran to tell daddy. I looked over at little siss who had a peculiar smile on her face. Did you...? I questioned. Bigger smile. "No. It was the tooth fairy."

Being a slacker mom isn't all bad. You give your children wonderful opportunities for extraordinary thoughtfulness.

And yes, I am thinking about contracting the fairy job to little siss.
